Terms of service

By creating an account or using Polylens you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Last updated June 9, 2026.

1. The service

Polylens monitors the health of translation files: it scores them, lists issues, charts drift, and can fail your CI on a regression. The service is provided for professional use by software teams.

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time. Where a change materially reduces the core functionality of a paid plan, we will give reasonable advance notice.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and entering these terms on your own behalf or with authority to bind your organization. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account data, for keeping credentials and project tokens confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account or tokens, whether or not authorized by you.

3. Your content and your responsibility

Locale files and other content you submit remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process and display that content solely to provide the service.

You warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit the content, that it contains no unlawful material, no personal data you are not entitled to process, and no secrets or credentials. You, not we, are solely responsible for your content, your locale files, your build pipelines, and any decision you or your systems take based on scores, issues, verdicts or any other output of the service.

4. Acceptable use

You must not: probe, breach or test the security of the service; access data of other customers; reverse engineer the service except where law permits; overload, scrape or abuse the API beyond your plan's limits; resell or white-label the service without a written agreement; or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice, and refuse service to anyone at our discretion where the law allows.

5. Billing

Paid plans bill in advance, monthly, through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices with at least 30 days notice; continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

6. No warranty

The service, including all scores, issue detections, CI verdicts, badges, exports, alerts and AI/MCP integrations, is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

In particular, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that every translation defect will be detected, that no false positives will occur, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your locale files; the service is a monitor, not a backup.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

8. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of hosting, network or upstream providers, denial-of-service attacks, acts of government, labor disputes, or natural events.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service or your account for breach of these terms, for legal or security reasons, or upon discontinuation of the service with reasonable notice. Sections 3, 6, 7, 8 and 11 survive termination.

11. General

Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect, and the provision is enforced to the maximum extent permissible.

Entire agreement. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede prior agreements.

Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected where they apply.

Changes. We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app or by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
